Community Market Event Impact - Travis P
We are thrilled to share the success of the recent Community Market event hosted by Chatham Parkway Subaru, which has made a significant impact on the youth within the Dream Big Foundation. Thanks to the incredible support from our community, we received over 6,000 essential hygiene items for our Hygiene Hut initiative. This initiative aims to provide students in local elementary schools with the basic essentials they need, such as soap, toothpaste, and other hygiene products. By addressing these fundamental needs, we are helping to reduce distractions in the classroom, allowing students to focus better on their studies and achieve greater success. We are immensely grateful to everyone who contributed to this cause. Your generosity is directly supporting our mission to create a brighter future for our youth. Together, we are making a difference, one essential item at a time. Thank you for dreaming big with us!
Caring Organization! - Alyson H
I was a vendor at an event a couple weeks ago, and it was a wonderful event! I was busy doing henna, until the very end, when i started to feel bad. Im a recent diabetic, so my bloodsugar isnt quite controlled yet. I bottomed out and almost went into a diabetic coma. EMS came, but not before the organizers sprung into action getting me something cold to get my sugar up and ice. Both organizers texted me later on that day to check on me, and the next day too. That kind of care is unusual, and so appreciated!
Community Market event - Aspen F
My experience working with Chatham Parkway Subaru has been incredibly rewarding. Their commitment to community outreach aligns perfectly with my own mission to give back to youth. I was truly inspired by their collaboration with various organizations to support 5,000 children in the local area by providing them with toiletries throughout Summer 2024. This initiative demonstrates their deep understanding of the needs of our community and their desire to make a real difference. This experience is further proof that my organization's core mission of educating others through the power of art is resonating. We strive to show children that learning can be a fun and engaging experience, and I'm proud of the recognition we've gained for our customized slimes at events and art festivals. Our signature tie-dye slime has become a beloved favorite, and we've also gained a reputation for our diverse slime textures. Working with Chatham Parkway Subaru has not only provided me with a valuable experience but also reinforced my commitment to fostering creativity and education within our community.
Walking Billboard Advertising - Neal J
Kudos to Sophia Habeeb and Brittany Johnson for their remarkable customer service in helping United Advertisement LLC become a part of the community event on June 8! We had an incredible time, and we're also grateful to Chatham Parkway Subaru for their support. It's uplifting to see such dedication and commitment to fostering positive change in the community. Thank you Team
One Love Adoption Event at Chatham Parkway Subaru - MaryBeth D
We had such a wonderful time at Chatham Parkway Subaru on Saturday, October 7, 2023, for our adoption event. As always, CP Subaru assisted us with marketing and getting the word out. Mark Robertson with 98.7 The River was also in attendance, letting people know all of the adoptable pets we had with us. We had a wonderful turnout and 5 dogs found their forever homes. We are so grateful to our friends at CP Subaru, they exemplify what it means to be a community partner. Thank you.
Back-to School Family Fun Day - Brittany P
For the past 2 years, the Dream Big Foundation has had the pleasure of partnering with Chatham Parkway Subaru and Pitman Enterprises for our Back-to-School Family Fun Day! During this event, families are invited out to come enjoy entertainment, games/activities, vendors, food and FREE book-bags for students in need returning to the classroom. With the partnership of Chatham Parkway Subaru, we recently concluded our Family Fun Day supplying 1000 students with book-bags and school supplies to jumpstart an exciting and engaging school year! As we continue to grow as an organization, partnerships with organizations such as this are vital to the impact we want to make in the community! We are looking forward to continuing partnering with Chatham Parkway Subaru in the future!
Helping Seniors - Anne C
Chatham Parkway Subaru always goes the extra mile in helping Senior Citizens, Inc. to serve seniors. One example is Sales and Leasing Consultant Malcolm Williams delivering gifts and visiting with our clients. For him it's far more than just a delivery. Malcolm spends time talking with the seniors about their life and just visiting. Another example is recently the retailer partnered with us (again) to help us collect pet food for our Pet Care Program. We provide supplement pet food for the pets of our Meals on Wheels® clients. Subaru helped by collecting donations at their showroom. We were extremely grateful!
PB&J Love in Georgia - Michelle R
The Hinesville Peanut Butter & Jelly Drive began as a thought to conduct a simple food drive by the Rotary Club, supported by the downtown development authority. In 2015, we proudly collected 530 jars for our downtown soup kitchen, The Manna House. The community really seemed to have a heart for the collection, as we explained that 68% of students in the public schools were on free and reduced lunch, and this drive would help feed those young people during the summer months. As more and more members of the community offered 2 jars or 200 jars, the collection nearly doubled in the second and third years. In year four, we had 1,000 jars increase and hit 3,150. This allowed the food pantry to share PB&J resources with their next-door neighbors (the Summer Reading Program at the public library). Senior citizen programs also benefited as the collection grew. These resources also filtered through to the local homeless prevention program and supplemented inventory in church food pantries throughout the county. The collection grew ninefold during the first five years (11,460 jars in five years). In 2019, we collected an amazing $4,650 in jars! Then, it nearly doubled during the next four years (11,203 jars in 4 years). In 2023, the collection total was 4,830! In 2024, we have a goal of 5,000 jars for the collection's 10th anniversary. The growth of the collection shows that the effort is beyond a three-person DDA staff or even a 40-member Rotary club. This is truly a community effort of neighbors helping neighbors. There is support from military personnel, military spouses, civic groups, churches, businesses and their customers. The partnership with Chatham Parkway Subaru (Savannah, GA) has been invaluable. The dealership has served as a collection site for several years. The staff also bring new vehicles to local grocery stores on military payday to conduct "JAM THIS VEHICLE WITH PB&J." Our net in eight hours during the past two years is 1,000+ jars. Subaru retailer Malcolm Williams also used his sphere of influence to grow and support the food drive. As a councilman, he makes sure the Midway, Georgia, City Council participates each year. He also engages with the mentor group Eleven Black Men. The men and their mentees come on the big collection day to assist with the heavy lifting, sorting, crating, and counting of all of the jars. This makes the unloading at The Manna House go much faster. All ages participate in the collection, and all ages and demographics are served by the collection. There are more collection sites each year, more Facebook videos, and more challenges from realtor to realtor, bank to bank, or school to school. The HDDA and Rotary coordinate the collection date and initial poster each year. Then, the PB&J Drive takes on a life of its own. We are so proud of the heart and generosity displayed by our residents. We enjoy the silly humor of videos and challenges that seem to increase participation each year. This impacts several thousands of lives through giving and receiving. 2015 --> 530 jars 2016 --> 1,030 jars 2017 --> 2,100 jars 2018 --> 3,150 jars 2019 --> 4,650 jars 2020 --> 649 jars 2021 --> 3,450 jars 2022 --> 2,274 jars 2023 --> 4,830 jars The first Thursday in June, is PB&J Day in Hinesville This program can be replicated in any community.
Liberty County Earth Day Event 2023 - Karen B
Liberty County celebrated Earth Day 2023 on April 21st. The Keep Liberty Beautiful Advisory Board and volunteers worked hard to plan a great Earth Day Celebration for Liberty County. Earth Day was founded in 1970 as a day of education about environmental issues to raise public awareness and is now a global celebration on April 22nd. Our Liberty County Earth Day event took months of planning and was an event not to miss! Earth Day is for our community and is done by our community. There were over 63 booths hosted by organizations, businesses, agencies, and churches that partner with Keep Liberty Beautiful. The booths range from various games, crafts, displays, and activities to our biggest education event of the year! We could not do this event without that kind of commitment from our community, and we thank all of those volunteers and partners, like Chatham Parkway Subaru, for partnering with KLB! Thank you so much, Dr. Karen Bell
Subaru Loves to Care® with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society® - Katherine W
Through our partnership with Chatham Parkway Subaru, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society® (LLS) of Savannah/Southeast Georgia delivered eighty blankets along with arts and craft kits to cancer patients of all ages at Memorial Health on June 6, 2023. For eight years now, during the month of June, we have spread warmth, love, and relief to cancer patients and their families as part of Subaru Loves to Care®. Nationally, through the LLS Patient Aid Program, Subaru has also provided nearly 8,500 cancer patients with financial relief to help offset non-medical costs associated with treatment, including transportation, food, housing, and utilities. Sophia Habeeb and her local staff at Chatham Parkway brought smiles to every patient they encountered. It was a memorable afternoon of giving back to our community, and we even had help from Davy of The Savannah Ghost Pirates! Many thanks to the devoted staff at Memorial Health who go above and beyond for all of those affected by blood cancers. Chatham Parkway Subaru further supports our mission to cure blood cancers as they are a proud sponsor for the second year in a row for our largest community event here in Savannah/Southeast Georgia, Light the Night, that is taking place on October 13th, 2023, at Kehoe Iron Works. Thank you, Chatham Parkway Subaru, for loving to care for our blood cancer patients in our community!
Giving Back Together - MaryBeth D
We always love having adoption events with our wonderful partners at Chatham Parkway Subaru but a recent one at the end of May was extra special. We were thrilled when CP Subaru reached out to us to see if we'd be interested in hosting an adoption event in conjunction with a pet food drive for Senior Citizens Inc. This amazing organization has a pet food bank to support its Meal on Wheels ® patients. At One Love Animal Rescue, we understand the healing power of pet companionship and were absolutely honored to take part in this event. We are so grateful for the care that the team at CP Subaru show for our entire community.
Subaru is for kitten rescue - MaryBeth D
One Love Animal Rescue is honored and blessed to be a Chatham Parkway Subaru partner. Their donations helped us save more than 700 lives this year. They also provide an amazing and inviting space to host adoption events with wrap-around marketing support. But what they do for these pets doesn't stop there. This past September, an employee found 2 kittens who had hitched a ride into the dealership with a client. Our friends at Subaru knew that they needed intensive support. So, they jumped into action and contacted us for help. While we coordinated with our foster team for pick-up and placement, the team at Subaru set the kittens up in a warm, dry and safe place, and they cared for them until we got there. We are happy to report that both kittens were adopted into forever homes in time for the holidays.
Fall in Love Adoption Event Success - MaryBeth D
Through our partnership with Chatham Parkway Subaru, we hosted a Fall in Love adoption event on October 15th. We brought 10 adoptable pets to the event in Savannah, GA. It was an amazing turnout with several families coming to meet our lovable pets because they heard about the event through social media or on the radio. After hearing we were onsite on the radio, one family stopped in to meet some of our puppies. They fell in love with our adorable Agent Carter whose five siblings had been adopted weeks earlier, yet she remained. They held and played with her for over an hour. We were delighted when they submitted the adoption application. She's now in her forever home with a wonderful family and sweet young girl who wants desperately to take her to the beach. Our partnership with Chatham Parkway Subaru makes so many stories like this happen throughout the year. They support us not only with donations but wonderful marketing. One Love Animal Rescue and of course, the pets in our care are beyond grateful for the support. The dogs especially enjoy the Chewbaru WRX!
Kendra Demps - Excellent Salesperson - L Mark H
I just bought a new Legacy Subaru from Chatham Parkway Subaru. My salesperson was thoughtful and graceful! You are blessed to have such a fine person be in your showroom. Malcolm and Mark were also pleasant. Thanks, Mark Haddad
Sasha: A Love's Promise Story - MaryBeth D
Sashas story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and loves promise. She came to One Love Animal Rescue after a Good Samaritan spotted her being beaten with a weed whacker. When she came to her foster home, she was 30 pounds underweight with her backbone and ribs showing and had zero light in her eyes. One Love also learned that she was heartworm positive. The road to recovery was long but Sasha realized she was loved instantly. She had no ill will toward humans and was happy to give Sasha Snuggles and be a part of the family. Sasha is now a healthy 58 pounds, heartworm free, and living the good life with her forever family. Without the support of our community and our partners at Chatham Parkway Subaru, we would not be in a position to save dogs like Sasha. We are incredibly grateful for and humbled by your support.
